In order to help international students know and understand China better, Yangzhou University has launched the course "Understanding China" for all overseas students. "Understanding China" systematically explains Chinese history, geography, politics, economy, cultural heritage and related knowledge to international students, aiming to enhance their knowledge of Chinese society and Chinese people, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and experience the unique charm of Chinese civilization.

Our college undertakes the teaching task of "Understanding China". It is taught by 5 teachers, including CHEN Shiyin, CAI Jingjing, FAN Qinyong, LIU Fengzhen and WANG Dawen. Over the past three years, under the care and guidance of leaders at all levels, teachers have carefully prepared lessons, conducted heated discussions, spared no efforts to tell China's stories well from two dimensions of realistic scenes and historical aspect. We believe that the course will help international students form an objective, comprehensive and positive view of China, and contribute to enhancing people-to-people exchanges and promoting the building a community with a shared future for mankind.
