Dr.Wang Yongping, male, born in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Chinese history. Now he is the dean of School of Social Development. He graduated from the history department of Xuzhou Normal University in 1984. From 1989 to 1990, he graduated from the history department of Shanghai Normal University for master's degree. He studied in Nanjing Uiversity for his Ph.D. from 2000, and received his doctorate for history in 2002.

He has been engaged in the medieval society history and culture in ancient China, and published six monographs, A Study on the Family Traditions of the Jiangdong Family in the Six Dynasties, Migration and Cultural Exchange of Middle Ancient Scholars, Political and Cultural History in the Sun and Wu, Collection of Family Cultural History of the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties, The Rise and Fall of Social Strata and Historical Changes between Han and Jin Dynasties. He also published hundreds of papers inHistorical Research, Studies of Chinese History, Research of Sinology, Literature Review, etc., in which dozens of papers were reprinted byXinhua Digest, Chinese Social Science Digest, College Journals of Liberal Arts Digest, Renmin University of China Reading Weekly, and has good social repercussions. His books won various academic awards such as the second and third prizes of outstanding achievements in philosophy and social science of Jiangsu province.
