Dr. Liu Xiuhong, born in Gaotang, Shandong province in 1972, received her Ph.D. in history. She is an associate professor in the school of social development, mainly engaged in the research of modern and contemporary social security history, gender and social security policy. She presided over four scientific research projects such as the humanities and social sciences planning project of the Ministry of Education. She published more than 20 papers in core journals such asPopulation and Economy, Theoretical Guide, Theoretical Monthly, Journal of Yangzhou University (Humanities and Social Science), Journal of Anhui Normal University (Humanities and Social Science), Anhui History, Women's Studies Collection and Lanzhou Academic Journal. She published one monographLabor Social Security Systemduring the Nanjing National Government Period (1927-1937).
