Main research directions: Modern and contemporary Chinese political history, economic history, intellectual history and Chinese academic history. Published works: Republic of new century - 1911 Revolution (co authored, Jiangsu people's Publishing House 1997 edition), and the history of revolution of 1911 in Jiangsu (co authored, Social Science Literature Publishing House 2011 Edition). Published papers:"the class belongs to the commercial office": on Tao Shu's rectification of the two Huai salt's advocacy and practice, and the analysis of the academic evaluation of Gu Yanwu by the Yangzhou school.
